About us

Martin Kovarik Golf Academy was founded in 2010 and offers a wide range of training programs for children, adults, groups or companies. Training sessions are designed for individuals of all abilities, from beginners to competitive players. We also focus on other aspects of golf such as fitness or psychological preparation.
Since 2014, the golf academy, headed by its head coach, has been providing golf training at the Barbora Golf Resort as well as local training for children and young people. In addition, the coaching team has been preparing annual summer golf camps for children for almost ten years.

Jan Mazánek FULL QUALIFIED GOLF PROFESSIONAL, MEMBER OF PGAC

Sport has always been an integral part of my life. I was most passionate about hockey, which I played professionally until I was 20 years old. I tried golf for the first time when I was 15 years old, but I took up the sport fully after I retired from hockey. It soon became not only my hobby but also my career path.

Within two years, I achieved a handicap of 1 and became a multiple club champion on courses in Sokolov and Bitozeves. After that I decided to develop my career in coaching as well. After three years studies, I obtained my Full Qualification Professional license in 2021. During this time I also I won two apprentice tournaments on the Czech Pro-Am Teaching Tour in Beroun and Mstetice.

Today I pass on my experience and skills – whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, I like to teach you golf or help you improve your game. Age doesn’t matter, golf is for everyone. You just have to want to – I’ll take care of the rest.
